About ACSM
Mission Statement
The principal aim of the Australian Centre for Security Management (ACSM) is to promote the professional development and recognition of security managers at all levels and in all organisations. ACSM aims to achieve this in a number of ways: by providing a range of resources and materials designed to assist security managers in their day-to-day work; by raising the profile of security management as a profession and by promoting the benefits of professional security management in public and private sector organisations. The Australian Centre for Security Management will promote better security standards and informed decision making through the provision of security resources, methodologies and support to industry professionals. The Centre will also aim to further professional development and peer networking opportunities for members.
Vision
The Australian Centre for Security Management’s aim is to improve security practice in
public and private sector organisations. ACSM aims to provide key security management methodologies and resources in support of the diverse needs of its members. ACSM members will benefit through access to career counselling and mentoring services designed to assist in their development and advancement in chosen areas of employment.
ACSM will develop strategic partnerships with other organisations that share a common philosophy to maximise networking and career development opportunities for members.
In achieving this vision, the organisation will be recognised as a key contributor to the security management profession.
